What do we do?
Our focus is to assist disadvantaged members of the community but all members of the public are welcome at the centre.

The Port Pirie Community Centre is an open and shared space where all members of the public can meet, learn and share. As a hub for resources, the centre provides a range of services such as:

Food Cooperative – essential everyday items sold to the public at reduced prices. The Food Cooperative works in conjunction with Food Hub and Food Bank SA.

Tasty Tucker – every Friday from 12:00-13:00, the centre serves a delicious two course meal at an affordable price. All members of the public are welcome.

Room Hire Facilities – the centre currently has two rooms to rent for formal meetings and hobby groups. Please contact Liaison Officer for details, rates and availability.

Community Garden – located behind the main building is the fruit, vegetable and herb garden. The garden contains seasonal fruit on offer for free at the Food Cooperative.

Tax Help – from July to October, the centre hosts a volunteer trained by the Australian Tax Office who is able to assist members of the public (who earn within a certain income bracket) with their tax returns.

Who can you contact?
